Cast phone navigation to your vehicle display
Mirror the map navigation from your phone onto the vehicle's screen, so you never have to look down while riding. The first use requires a Wi-Fi connection between phone and head unit; on some devices you will also need to grant screen-casting and overlay permissions as prompted.
Requires Android 9 or later and a head unit that supports Wi-Fi Direct.
Permission Details
Each permission below maps to a specific feature and is requested only when that feature is in use. You can revoke any permission in system settings at any time; only the related feature stops working, and the rest of the app is unaffected.
- Camera
- Scan a vehicle's QR code to bind it, or scan an authorization QR code shared by someone else.
- Location (precise / approximate)
- Vehicle positioning, ride track recording, geo-fence boundary detection and navigation to your vehicle.
- Background location
- Continuous track recording during a ride (only while the foreground service is running).
- Bluetooth
- Connect to your vehicle to provide keyless unlock and read vehicle status.
- Notifications
- Deliver vehicle alerts, geo-fence reminders and service expiry notices.
- Storage (read / write)
- Save share QR code images and screenshots attached to feedback.
- Microphone
- Capture the audio being played while casting the screen and map, so the sound travels with the picture to the head unit.
- Foreground service
- Keep ride tracking and the Bluetooth connection alive, so they are not dropped when the app moves to the background.
- Install apps
- Download and install the update package when a new version is detected in the app.
- Network & Wi-Fi state
- Access the API, and scan for and connect to the head unit hotspot when casting.
- Ignore battery optimizations
- Prevent the system from freezing background Bluetooth connections and location reporting.
- Display over other apps
- Show a control panel above other apps while casting, so you can end casting at any time.
